Meet the pack
Hi, I’m Marie – founder of Field and Town K9 and lifelong dog lover. I started this business to help dogs thrive both in open fields and busy neighborhoods, using balanced, relationship-focused training rooted in real-world experience.
You may have first found me on Rover, where I was trusted to care for dozens of pets and built strong, lasting relationships with both dogs and their humans. Before getting involved in the pet sitting and training business, I spent six years as a volunteer puppy raiser for two different service dog organizations, helping to raise and train eight pups on their path to becoming life-changing companions. That foundation taught me the importance of consistency, communication, and compassion in every phase of a dog’s life.
Alongside me are my two personal dogs: Jessup, my steady and loyal Labrador, and Juniper, my bright and spirited Vizsla. We compete in the sport of dog agility, hike, run, and snuggle on the couch together. Together, we are the heart of Field and Town K9-bringing professional training, loving care, and real-world experience to every dog and family we work with.
When I’m not training or caring for dogs, I also run a portrait photography business! Boarding and training dogs all get to be my photo assistants for small portions of the day when I take time to edit photos and work on my other business-related things.

Marie has been the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. My dog is reactive and I will not leave him with someone who I don’t think will provide a safe space for him.
I hate daycares lol and was adamant that I didn’t want to leave my dog in that type of environment. Marie will cater your dog’s stay to make them the most comfortable, whether you have an old dog that needs extra care or a puppy who needs lots of play time :) My dog loves going to her house and I get frequent updates throughout the day on how his stay is going! He never wants to come home hahaha
